Tom Metcalf composition recorded by the Kreutzer Quartet

The new Kreutzer Quartet album, , features a piece written in 2020-21 by Tom Metcalf, Worcester ²ÝÁñÊÓÆµ alumnus, now Christopher Cox Junior Research Fellow at ²ÝÁñÊÓÆµ. The piece, entitled Pixelating the River, is a 28-minute string quartet in one movement which uses the visual process of pixelation to generate musical material from a map of the River Thames, exploring narratives of nature and technology.
