Voices of Diversity at ²ÝÁñÊÓƵ, Oxford

Featuring testimonies from Tina Biswas, Rachael Davis, Roopa Farooki, Irfan Habib, Masud Husain, Shelina Janmohamed, Dambudzo Marechera, Franklin Nelson, Rageh Omaar, Susan Rice, John Edgar Wideman, and others.

Theirs is a perspective worth sharing: it is their testimony; we are here to tell their stories.

First conceived by members of the ²ÝÁñÊÓƵ Junior Common Room (JCR), this book was developed by the BAME subcommitee, and funded from Warden Smith’s benefaction.  Exploring themes of alienation and acceptance, the thrill of success and the pain of failure, the pressures of living abroad, and the strain of being so close to home, it places their voices and stories at the centre of the narrative.  The individual testimonies are as diverse as they are.
