The Wanderlust series at The New Space delves into the themes of nature, travel, folk traditions, song, and myth.

Ewan Millar, a prominent young oboist and winner of the woodwind final of the BBC Young Musician 2020, performed a recital alongside rising concert pianist Tomos Boyles.

These artists' appearance was supported by funds kindly provided by The Tillett Trust as part of its DEBUT programme which aims to help young musicians of outstanding talent to achieve performance platforms in the early stages of their careers.

Ian Watt Guitar

Scottish guitarist Ian Watt, described by Classical Guitar Magazine as "a guitarist of outstanding skill and originality", gave a solo recital at The New Space as part of this term's Wanderlust concert series.

The song duo Filippo Turkheimer and Anastasia Kulikova present a celebration of German Song. Schumann's Dichterliebe takes centre stage alongside a collection of songs by Schubert, Brahms, Strauss and Charles Ives.

Mountain Airs and Dances (5th March, 6pm)

Ensemble Renard 

London-based wind quintet Ensemble Renard have quickly emerged as one of the UK's most exciting young chamber ensembles. They have been Britten Pears Young Artists, Stoller Hall Young Artists, Tunnel Trust awardees, members of the Countess of Munster Recital Scheme, and most recently have been awarded the 2024 RPS Henderson Chamber Music Prize.
